    This Privacy Policy explains how DessertNearMe.SG ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information from visitors to https://dessertnearme.sg ("the Site"). DessertNearMe.SG is operated by Bayzil Private Limited (UEN: 201109726G), a Singapore-registered company.

    What we collect

    When you visit the Site, we collect:

    • Usage data through Google Analytics 4 (GA4): page views, time on site, device type, browser, approximate location (city-level), referring URL, and similar non-identifying metrics. Google may collect a truncated IP address; we have IP anonymisation enabled by default.
    • Email correspondence if you write to us at hello@dessertnearme.sg or any other @dessertnearme.sg address. Your message, email address, and any attached information are forwarded to our personal inbox via ImprovMX.

    What we don't collect:

    • We do not require accounts. There is no signup or login.
    • We do not collect or store payment information.
    • We do not run email-capture forms or newsletter signups as of the last-updated date above.
    • We do not collect government IDs, financial details, or sensitive personal data.

    How we use information

    We use the data above to:

    • Understand which pages people visit and which dessert types are popular, so we can improve our content
    • Diagnose technical issues (broken pages, slow load times)
    • Respond to your email if you reach out

    We do not sell or rent any user data.

    Third-party services

    The Site uses the following third-party services that may receive limited information about visitors:

    • Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) — for site usage measurement. Google's privacy policy
    • Vercel Inc. — our hosting and content delivery provider. Vercel may log standard server-access information (IP, user agent, request path) for operational purposes. Vercel's privacy policy
    • ImprovMX (Adventure Lab S.A.) — email forwarding for our @dessertnearme.sg addresses. ImprovMX's privacy policy

    We do not knowingly share information with third parties beyond what is operationally necessary for these services to function.

    Cookies

    The Site itself does not set marketing or behavioural advertising cookies. Google Analytics may set first-party cookies (under our domain) to measure unique visitors. You can disable these via your browser's cookie settings, or install Google's opt-out extension.

    Your rights under Singapore's PDPA

    Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 of Singapore, you have the right to:

    • Access — request information about what personal data we hold about you (for ordinary visitors, this is limited to what GA4 collects on our behalf)
    • Correction — request that we correct any inaccurate personal data
    • Withdrawal of consent — request that we cease processing your personal data
    • Complaint — file a complaint with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) at pdpc.gov.sg

    Data retention

    • Google Analytics data is retained according to GA4's default retention policy (currently 2 months for event data, 14 months for user-level data).
    • Email correspondence with us is retained in our inbox indefinitely unless you request deletion.

    Children's privacy

    The Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

    International users

    If you access the Site from outside Singapore, your information may be transferred to and processed in Singapore and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Site, you consent to this transfer.

    Security

    We take reasonable steps to protect information against unauthorised access. However, no internet transmission is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

    Changes to this policy

    We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Changes take effect when posted.
